Additional World Of Warcraft Expansion: Burning Crusade Information

Blizzard Entertainment took online role playing by storm with their hit title, World of Warcraft. With mind-boggling improvements in graphics, gameplay networking, and interface -- really every category -- this game became the crown prince of the genre. World of Warcraft players will be excited by the approaching release of the new expansion pack: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. This pack expands the already massive, award-winning multiplayer online role-playing game by tremendous bounds, adding new races, lands, battlegrounds, professions and items, and much, much more. Although no release date has been set, here is sample of what you can expect from The Burning Crusade.

The Burning Crusade is the highly anticipated, unreleased expansion pack for Blizzard's "World of Warcraft."

What lies in Medivh's tower?

Blood Elves emerge as a new race in The Burning Crusade.

The Blood Elves seek the golden destiny that has been promised to them.

Warcraft's newest continent: Outland.

Once a beautiful land, Outland has been ravaged by war.

Outland is a vital strategic location.

The expansion pack features an increase in the level cap to 70. There are two new playable races, including the magical Blood Elves that you can read more about below. The other race has not yet been released by Blizzard. There will be new starting zones in Quel'Thalas and beyond. Another eye-opening addition is the entirely new, unexplored continent of Outland that is reachable through the Dark Portal. Plus, you'll find many new high-level dungeons to explore in Azeroth, Outland, and elsewhere that will substantially boost gameplay. There are new flying mounts in Outland; tons of new and dangerous monsters (including epic world bosses); hundreds of new quests and items; and even a new profession: Jewelcrafting. Of course this isn't the end of the list -- this is just a glimpse of what Blizzard has planned for their unreleased expansion pack.

The New Story, the Rumors, and More
Several years have passed since the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered lives. With renewed strength, the heroes of the Horde and Alliance have begun to explore new lands, and have broken through the Dark Portal to investigate the realms beyond the known world. In this expansion pack, The Burning Crusade refers to the Burning Legion's ongoing efforts to destroy life on Azeroth. To date, the Burning Legion's exploits have been documented in Warcraft III and in the War of the Ancients novel trilogy. As part of the expansion pack, players will now be able to travel through the Dark Portal to confront the Legion on otherworldly battlefields.

Although only one race has been revealed, Blizzard has announced plans to unveil details about possible additional races at a later date. On the other hand, many details have been released about the new continent, Outland. Players last visited Outland in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, alongside Illidan as he conquered the Pit Lord Magtheridon's domain. Players will also gain access to Quel'Thalas, the region to the northeast of the Forsaken lands, where the Blood Elves reside. Blizzard says that this expansion pack holds even more new areas that are ripe for player exploration -- additional details will be revealed in the months ahead.

Blizzard also has plans to add new dungeons and battlegrounds with the expansion, though the exact number has not yet been determined. One upcoming dungeon that has players excited is Karazhan, which is located within Medivh's tower. Because Medivh has played such a central role in Warcraft lore, Blizzard is convinced that longtime players will be especially interested in seeing what Karazhan contains. As for battlegrounds, Blizzard has released very little information. However, they have announced plans to make some of the battles from the past accessible through the Caverns of Time.

Blood Elves: The New Race
Thousands of years ago, the exiled Highborne landed on the shores of Lordaeron and founded the enchanted kingdom of Quel'Thas. These high elves, as they called themselves, created a fountain of vast, magical energies within the heart of their land -- the Sunwell. Over time, they grew dependant on the Sunwell's unstable energies, regardless of the bitter lessons they'd learned in ages past.

During the Third War, the villainous Prince Arthas invaded Quel'Thalas and reduced the once-mighty realm to rubble and ashes. His undead army decimated nearly all of the high elven population. In addition, he used the Sunwell's energies to resurrect a powerful undead Lich, Kel'thuzad, thereby fouling the Sunwell's mystical waters. The few elven survivors, realizing that they had been cut off from the source of their arcane power, grew increasingly volatile and desperate.

In the midst of the elves' darkest hour came Kael'thas Sunstrider, the last of Quel'Thalas' royal bloodline. Kael, as he was commonly known, knew that the remnant of his people would not long survive without the nourishing magic that once empowered them. Renaming his people "blood elves" in honor of their fallen countrymen, Kael taught the survivors how to tap into ambient mystical energies -- even demonic energies -- in order to sate their terrible thirst for magic. In search of a new destiny for his people, Kael'thas ventured to the remote world of Outland where he encountered the fallen night elf, Illidan. Under Illidan's watchful eye, Kael and his blood elves regained much of their former power.

Unfortunately, the blood elves practice of embracing demonic energies caused their former comrades in the Alliance to shun them. Thus, the remaining blood elves on Azeroth look desperately to the Horde to help them reach Outland where they can reunite with Kael'thas and achieve the golden destiny he has promised them.

Outland: The New Continent
Once the beautiful homeworld of the orcs, all that remains of Draenor is the scattered wastes of Outland. Following the Second War, the Alliance invaded Draenor by crossing through the Dark Portal. To their horror, they discovered that Ner'zhul -- the dark warlord of Horde -- had constructed a series of new gateways that could lead the beaten Horde to newer, unspoiled worlds. As the Alliance forces closed in around him, Ner'zhul opened his gateways as a means of escape. However, his plan backfired and the gateway's clashing energies resulted in a massive catastrophic explosion that ultimately ripped the world of Draenor to pieces.

Nearly thirteen years later -- towards the end of the Third War -- the fallen night elf, Illidan, discovered that huge chunks of Draenor still existed, floating upon the astral winds of the Twisting Nether. After his defeat at the hands of the evil Prince Arthas, Illidan fled to the remnants of Draenor and dubbed them "Outland." He quickly seized control of the chaotic region and sealed the last of Ner'zhul's gateways.

Though he is the undisputed ruler of the ravaged land, Illidan lives in fear that he will be discovered by his powerful enemies -- most notably Arthas, the new Lich King, and the remaining Lords of the Burning Legion. For now, Outland is home to a number of scattered draenei tribes, primitive orcs, and powerful, arcane creatures of the Nether itself. Agents of the Burning Legion have also targeted the region as a vital strategic location in their unending Burning Crusade to scour all life from the universe.

What else can expected? Blizzard has tantalized Warcraft players with the brief glimpse into The Burning Crusade's storyline. Will these heroes find friends or foes? What dangers and rewards lie in wait beyond the Dark Portal? And what will they do when they discover that the demons they thought were vanquished have returned to renew their terrible Burning Crusade? These and other questions will remain unanswered until the gameplay can be explored by role-playing Warcrafters.

What Customers Say About World Of Warcraft Expansion: Burning Crusade:

Aside from these new challenges and PvP Zones, player now can take wing and traverse the very skies on flying mounts. Many of these demons still taint the Outlands, offering a bitter challenge to worthy players.

"The Burning Crusade" takes players into the Outlands, the shattered world formerly known as Draenor - the home of the Orcs of the Horde and the Draenei of the Alliance. TBC introduces players to two new races, the fallen high elves known as the "Blood Elves" and the "Draenei", as well as new classes available to players that weren't so before.

The first expansion to the award winning, best selling, highly rated MMORPG World of WarCraft. Most of Outlands lies in ruins, having been destroyed by the Orcs in their blood-pact which they made with demons long ago.

Players go beyond the previous level cap (maximum available character level) to the level of 70. With new dungeons (instances), raids, battlegrounds, areas, and the Arena (where players can team together for team-based PvP action).

The demons, now ruled over by the not-so-night elf - Illidan Stormrage, are not the only enemy that players will come in contact with, Illidan has made strong allies and taken hold of the Black Citadel since the end of the Alliance's third war with the Horde. ]Overall, I've given the first expansion a five for everything that it has brought to the World of WarCraft.

They have no value whatsover accept to other people like yourself trapped in the game. If you plan to leave the World of Warcraft to shower, eat, sleep, use the bathroom etc,you obviously don't belong there. The difference being the accomplishments you wasted your time on in the game mean absolutely and I mean absolutely nothing. Than this game is perfect for you. Every inch of this game is festered with morons that simply can't understand that. who cares. You have tons of fake game gold who cares. If you like living your life on par with that of a coat hanger.

This game does nothing but steal time away from you. What can I say. IT HAS NO REAL WORLD VALUE. Do you think anyone cares that I killed King Bowser back in 1989. IT'S MEANINGLESS.

You played since it's release. At first I thought it was mostly just ignorant kids.but these are adults. You have some magic mount no one else in the game has who cares. I got so tired of people talking about what they do in this game like it's an actual accomplishment. If you have time to waste good, you'll be spending hours here.

I brought the Burning Crusade because my guild annoyed me until I did (I was the guild master). Acting like they are children. Yes, grown adults. You have Tier whatever gear who cares. Or that I upgraded my standard blaster to a missle blaster in Metroid in 1988. I had to always have the best armor and weapons to keep up with and lead these morons.

This game is perfect if you have no girlfriend/boyfriend, job, social life, or basically any form of physical or social activity that differs you from that of a rusted lawn chair. I brought The WoW the first game because it was new and I enjoyed it.but it was short lived with all the drama. Some I even know of to have neglected their own children just to play the game. It was a real pain in the behind.

or maybe a lawnmower in the dead of winter. NO ONE CARES A BOUT WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISHED IN A GAME. This game does nothing but replace real life goals and accomplishments met through realife hardwork with digital goals that are met with the same amount of time applied. All the expansion does is add more hours for you to waste getting better armor and more dungeons to drag yourself through for 10 exciting levels of doing the same quest over and over again.

None of this stuff matters to people that live in the real world. Or how about the time I found the secret ring in Sonic the Hedge Hog when I got my first Sega. The game felt so much like a job. However if you enjoy games that are fun and challenging and really exciting look away from this and never come back.

I really don't have the time to devote 2 hours let alone the 6-8 or even more some people spend playing this game. So i bought this game about 2 weeks after I bought the original. If you want a game thats pretty much a big time waster than this is the one for you. I have to say that I really don't care for this expansion. Just like many others have said you spend most of your time going from A to B and it takes you hours to finish quests unless you have someone helping you. I wish I could take the game back and get the $60 I spent on it and the original. Although blizzard seems to have a decent concept I still think that it lacks in allot of places.

I got to a place where I was bored but compelled to play, neglecting everything that was important in life.[.]. I am not exaggerating here.

Blizzard did a good job on this game.In spite of this I must give it a low rating. The graphics are well-done and the quests are fun.

The only people who can accomplish a lot and get the best stuff are those who play 12+ hours a day. If you are a person who loves to complete things, please do not begin playing this game.

Thre is literally no end. I am a recovering addict of World of Warcraft.

It's a great community of people.

Ever since I got my new laptop, I've now surrounded myself with PC games and their expansions and whether or not something's worth the purchase since I've gone years dealing entirely with the console market. With some new PvP additions, it would seem that the Burning Crusade would be truly exceptional however a couple of minor things drag it down. Thanks to a higher polygon count, the characters models as well look a bit more attractive (especially the ladies) and some trade cities such as the Exodar are quite stunning visually. The other addition is adding jewelcrafting as a profession which allows you craft trinkets such as rings and jewellery that can be added to weaponry for bonuses.

And unlike Wrath of the Lich King's, the content here can be accessed right from the get-go and seeing as how there's been a couple of improvements, Burning Crusade is worth a purchase for these reasons though the main game by itself has enough content for everyone too. Skinning has become a huge moneymaker for my travels while my Mage has been benefitting from Tailoring so even though there's jewelcrafting, it's another choice for your character though with enough time and cash into levelling up jewelcrafting, you can create some pretty nifty stuff. Naturally one of the first I got was World of Warcraft, one of the world's top MMO's available and seeing as how level caps and new races get added for the expansions, getting Burning Crusade offers some content to warrant a purchase for those looking to get the most of the game.

It's a cool addition though with many other professions it's really up to you which one you want to put your time on. Added to the World of Warcraft character choices are 2 new races: the draenei, who start off on Azuremyst Isle with the previously inaccessible ability to be a shaman while the other race, the blood elves, start on Sunstrider Isle near Silvermoon City with the ability to become a paladin. Both starting areas are quite beautiful in their art direction as the blood elves area can best be described as "autumnal" with lots of orange and forest areas giving a great Fall season feel whereas the draenei as a more sci-fi element with glowing crystals and bizarre places such as rivers that are entirely in red.

The level bump for the professions as well as been bumped up so let's you become way more proficient than was previously allowed. But arguably the biggest addition to the land itself outside of the 2 races starting areas is the continent of Outland with new zones for you to explore and level up in which is helpful considering the level cap has been moved to 70 instead of just the 60 level cap the original cap had. Having played through both quest zones for draenei and blood elves, it's kind of hard not to see some parallels from a mission where you fly back and forth from a hippogryph but that's kind of the nature of the races anyway and you can't do anything from either the "kill 10 of these/collect 8 of these/talk to him or her" quests but I quite liked the storylines for both though.Strange thing actually is thanks to the massive patch download I had to do to play the original game, I guess Burning Crusade went with it since mine came on a DVD-ROM and it barely installed anything, I just upgraded my account to Burning Crusade on the launcher, inputted the product key and kaboom, I'm ready to play which was quite cool though it partially made me feel like I spent 40$ for the product key rather than the game content on the disc but oh well. While one can say Burning Crusade is more for the hardcore since you don't necessarily need this game unless you want the new races and level cap but for those wanting to invest more time in World of Warcraft, Burning Crusade makes an excellent addition.and considering how great the main game is anyway, you'll probably feel like buying it on principle.
